The Swetland Insurance Agency was established in 1972 by Stuart Swetland. From the very beginning, outstanding customer service was the most important goal of the agency.

Stuart's career in the insurance industry started when he was an agent for New York Life Insurance, specializing in life and health insurance. Because he had such positive feedback and requests for auto and homeowner's insurance, he decided to expand the portfolio and include those products.

In 1981 Stuart's daughter, Christine Sheffler, joined the agency specializing in property and commercial insurance coverages. Then in 1995, the agency partnered the Central Pennsylvania Insurance Group so that they could offer a larger selection of companies and products to their customers.

Since Swetland Insurance is an Independent Agency, they are not limited to a specific company and can offer insurance coverage with a variety of companies, matching the needs of the customer to the company that will serve them best.
